Band 6 Acute Neuro Physiotherapist

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced physiotherapist to work within a specialist neuro service supporting patients with complex neurological conditions in an acute inpatient setting.

If youre looking to expand your neurological rehabilitation skills within a supportive multidisciplinary team this role offers a rewarding and clinically diverse caseload.

As a Band 6 Acute Neurology Physiotherapist you will assess and treat patients presenting with a wide range of neurological conditions including:

• Stroke
• Traumatic brain injury (TBI)
• Multiple sclerosis (MS)
• Parkinsons disease
• Guillain-Barré syndrome
• Spinal cord injuries
• Other complex neurological presentations

You will work closely with occupational therapists speech and language therapists consultants nursing staff and discharge teams to deliver high-quality patient-centred care.

• Provide specialist physiotherapy assessment and treatment for acute neurological patients.
• Develop and implement evidence-based rehabilitation programmes.
• Assess mobility balance transfers gait and functional independence.
• Support early rehabilitation and safe discharge planning.
• Participate in MDT meetings and contribute to goal setting.
• Educate patients carers and ward staff on rehabilitation strategies.
• Supervise junior staff assistants and physiotherapy students.
• Maintain accurate clinical records and outcome measures.

• BSc or MSc in Physiotherapy.
• HCPC Registration.
• Previous NHS experience at Band 6 level or equivalent.
• Proven experience within acute neurology stroke or neurorehabilitation settings.
• Excellent clinical reasoning and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
