The Investment Services and Transaction Management team leverages data and emerging technology to provide investment services and transaction management services to the Private Equity investment teams role of the Transaction Management team in GIC is to work in-step with the investment teams to project manage the smooth and timely closing of investments within the GIC Private Equity strategies. This involves general understanding of the alternative investment sector legal documentation and concise communication with various stakeholders.

The number of strategies covered by the Transaction Management team as well as the significant deal flow requires extreme attention to detail elite organisational and time-management skills. Altogether these are vital to be effective in dealing with the complex nature of the deals and short timelines.

What will you do as an AVP Transaction Management:

  • Support deal closing processes in line with the TM Service Menu. Experience supporting private credit settlements end-to-end an advantage;
  • Work in close partnership with the Transaction Management team to both enhance and automate key operational processes and develop and enhance process management targeting efficiency and scale. Be the go-to resource for queries on application of processes and policies;
  • Contribute to mentorship and knowledge share with the wider Transaction Management Team;
  • Be the middle office point of contact for external counterparties such as legal counsels custodians and KYC / AML agents to assist with TM support functions on a timely basis;
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure timely exchange of KYC documentation processing of fundings and resolution of any related queries;
  • Record and update status of deal closing tasks in internal digital workflow platform and obtain complete records of closing documentation for circulation to relevant internal stakeholders and retention in the document management system;
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure timely review execution notarisation exchange and tracking of both pre-deal and investment documentation;
  • Accurately manage processing and reconciliation of investment commitments financial crimes and compliance (FCC) requests and audit findings;
  • Ensure daily/monthly deliverables/tasks are managed globally with consistent communication across London and Singapore.

What skills or qualifications should you possess in this role:

  • General familiarity of the investment sector and general knowledge of private sector investing
  • Awareness documentation of private transactions company secretarial practices and the nuances of PE transactions
  • Experience supporting private credit settlements an advantage
  • Appreciation of the commercial regulatory environment for private sector transactions.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks and deals at any given time.
