AV Technician – Barnet | Independent Secondary School

An independent secondary school in Barnet is looking for a confident AV Technician to join its support team on a permanent basis.

The school has a busy programme of lessons presentations assemblies and events so this is a varied role where youll be involved in keeping the schools AV technology working smoothly from day to day.

• Set up AV equipment for classrooms assemblies meetings and events.

• Provide technical support with projectors screens sound systems and microphones.

• Troubleshoot issues and respond to staff requests.

• Support performances concerts and school productions.

• Carry out routine equipment checks and basic maintenance.

• Help with the setup and testing of new AV equipment.

• Make sure equipment is ready and available when needed.

• Give staff practical guidance on using AV systems.

Were looking for someone with previous AV Technician technical support or similar experience who enjoys working in a busy environment.

Youll need to be practical organised and confident troubleshooting equipment when something isnt working as expected. Experience in a school theatre events or corporate AV environment would all be relevant.

Experience with live sound projection video conferencing or lighting systems would be a real advantage.
