AutoCAD Technician – Water Infrastructure SUS

We are looking to recruit a Civil AutoCAD technician with good UK water industry infrastructure experience. The candidate should be technically proficient able to work with own initiative possess a high level of independence and have excellent communication skills.

Location: Sheffield

Hours: Monday to Friday 40 Hours per week.

Salary: Up to 40000

Responsibilities but not limited to:

• Preparation of AutoCAD drawings for various below ground water infrastructure projects.
• Ability to develop detailed design drawings from basic outline information.
• Ensure compliance with company and client drawing standards.
• Ability to read and determine information from drawings schedules and specification.
• To be aware of work requirements and take personal responsibility in delivering drawings to agreed time and quality requirements.
• Undertaking site visits to gather information and data.
• Document control.

Experience and qualifications required for the role:

• Autodesk AutoCAD experience essential.
• Must have water industry background.
• Knowledge and experience of wastewater and clean water infrastructure.
• Good appreciation of design delivery health safety and environmental processes.
• Good numerical analytical and IT skills.
• The ability to communicate in a fluent and positive manner with other team members.

Desirable

• HND Civil Engineering or equivalent

Personal Qualities

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Able to work collaboratively with others to form strong positive working relationships with colleagues clients and contractors.
• Ability to work on own initiative and to seek assistance when required
• Ability to organise and prioritise workload to ensure that timescales are met
