Job Summary
As an Audit Assurance Lead youll play a key role in strengthening governance managing risk and driving continuous improvement across the organisation. Leading audit and assurance activity youll provide independent insight into the effectiveness of processes controls and compliance arrangements helping ensure the business meets its regulatory contractual and policy obligations. Working closely with senior leaders and stakeholders youll turn complex findings into clear actionable recommendations that support informed decision-making improve performance and build confidence in the organisations control environment.

Permanent role - 37.5 hours a week
Hybrid role with 2 or 3 days a week in Warminster
Due to the nature of this role you must be eligible for UK Security Clearance at BPSS level.
What youll be doing
- Lead and deliver internal audits assurance reviews and compliance assessments.
- Provide independent insight into the effectiveness of governance controls and risk management arrangements.
- Identify risks control weaknesses and opportunities for improvement across the organisation.
- Deliver clear practical recommendations that support informed decision-making and continuous improvement.
- Oversee the tracking and implementation of actions arising from audit and assurance activity.
- Prepare high-quality reports dashboards and assurance summaries for senior leaders and governance forums.
- Build trusted relationships with stakeholders regulators and external assurance partners.
- Champion a culture of accountability compliance and operational excellence.

Essential Skills/Experience/Qualifications
- Strong knowledge of audit assurance risk management and governance principles.
- Experience of leading audits or assurance reviews in complex or regulated environments.
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex information and identify key risks.
- Highly developed report-writing and communication skills with the ability to present findings clearly and confidently.
- Strong planning and organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple assurance activities concurrently.
- Ability to influence challenge and advise at all levels of the organisation.
- High levels of integrity objectivity and professional judgement.
- Experience working with senior stakeholders and governance bodies.
Desirable Skills/Experience/Qualifications
- Knowledge of the military/Army

The OMNIA Training consortium brings together five leading UK defence training organisations: Capita Raytheon Rheinmetall Cervus and Skyral. As the British Armys Strategic Training Partner (STP) OMNIA has a clear mission: to transform collective training over the next 15 years and deliver world-class training for the British Army.
Working with the Land Warfare Centre (LWC) OMNIA will schedule plan design deliver and assure collective training across the Armys Collective Training System (ACTS) while also delivering the Collective Training Transformation Programme (CTTP). This generational opportunity will enable more relevant challenging and safe training helping the British Army to fight and win. Central to this mission is the ability to set and measure training performance against requirements assure operational readiness and capture associated training and safety risks.
