Attendance Officer

A welcoming Primary School in the London Borough of Ealing is seeking a committed and organised Attendance Officer to join its pastoral support team on a full-time permanent basis.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is passionate about improving attendance and supporting children to access the very best education possible. The successful candidate will work closely with the Headteacher pastoral team parents and external agencies to promote excellent attendance and punctuality across the school.

You will monitor daily attendance complete first-day absence procedures maintain accurate attendance records and identify attendance patterns requiring intervention. You will communicate regularly with families organise attendance meetings and provide support to pupils whose attendance may be affected by additional barriers.

Working closely with safeguarding staff you will help ensure attendance concerns are addressed promptly while maintaining accurate records using the schools management information system. You will also prepare attendance reports for senior leaders support statutory returns and contribute to whole-school attendance improvement initiatives.

The successful candidate will possess excellent communication skills strong organisational abilities and the confidence to build positive relationships with children families and colleagues while maintaining a professional and supportive approach.

Requirements
  • Previous attendance pastoral or school administration experience desirable

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

  • Strong organisational abilities

  • Good IT skills and experience using school management systems
