Be the person who helps students stay engaged supported and ready to succeed. An Outstanding secondary school in Dunstable is looking to appoint a committed Attendance Officer to join its experienced pastoral team on a full-time permanent basis from September 2026.

As Attendance Officer youll manage the schools attendance systems while providing proactive support to students and families.
Your responsibilities will include:
Monitoring attendance and punctuality across the school
Following up on unexplained absences with parents and carers
Identifying attendance trends and supporting targeted interventions
Producing regular attendance reports for senior leaders
Maintaining accurate pupil records using the schools MIS
Working alongside pastoral and safeguarding teams to support vulnerable students
Liaising with external agencies where appropriate to improve attendance outcomes
