Associate Transportation Corporate Banking
Job Summary
Corporate Banking is a client-facing department responsible for marketing onboarding and ongoing management of the client relationship providing loan business to the clients as well as promoting ancillary business according to the Banks business strategy and risk appetite. As an Associate Transportation - Corporate Banking you will be responsible to participate in the Banks corporate banking business within the Transportation team in accordance with the Banks business strategy risk appetite and compliance requirements. This is a full time permanent position.
Key responsibilities
- Collaborate with the Team Head Relationship Managers and relevant departments across the Bank and Group if necessary to provide high quality products and services to the clients
- Support the Transportation teams business marketing activities and internal reporting including the preparation of presentations reports statistics and initial analysis
- Support the teams cross selling activities including loan deposit trade finance cash management FX bond issuance and RMB-related business
- Support post-lending and credit portfolio management for the Transportation portfolio including credit line reviews LTV and RAROC calculations and ESG/carbon emissions analysis and reporting
- Support general account maintenance activities including financial covenant monitoring tax documentation and liaise with relevant internal departments and lending partners as required
- Support KYC and KYB processes sanctions screening and monitoring and other legal and compliance activities in accordance with internal policies and regulatory requirements
- Support the drafting and processing of business proposals including obtaining Head Office approval where required and assist with the teams CCMS requirements
- Provide day-to-day operational support to the team including assisting with client relationship management and departmental development
- Liaise with BOC Head Office and domestic network to support the development of the business for BOC London and the Groups existing and target clients
Requirements
- Degree educated in Finance Accounting Business or relevant subjects
- Demonstrated experience in a Corporate Banking or Credit role withinbanking industry
- Experience in Transportation businessis preferred
- Able to navigate around and understand a loan agreement and related financial documents
- A good understanding of general and structured corporate financing activities and general and structured corporate banking products and services
- Excellent communication skills
- Fluency in Mandarin is preferred
- Good quantitative and qualitative credit analysis skills with excellent financial modelling skills
- Good customer service skills and results oriented
- Proven analytical skills business judgment and acumen
- Good teamwork and interpersonal skills
- Able to multi-task
