The Role
The UK Defence business within QinetiQ is involved in a wide variety of exciting projects and programmes from innovative research through to modifications or complex flight trials across all domains. As a member of our project management community you can expect to be leading teams to deliver projects in the UK as well as supporting international opportunities as we continue to grow.

You will be responsible in the support of delivery of high value or complex Projects in our portfolio and tasked with ensuring our commitments to our internal and external stakeholders are met. Our projects have a diverse and complex stakeholder community both internal and external to the company.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Support and delivery of high value (40m per annum) or complex projects
• Bidding expertise low value high volume
• Development and maintenance of positive engagement with project customers partners and suppliers
• Delivery of the project outputs to agreed baseline (customer satisfaction time cost quality cash etc)
• Ensuring project members operate in line with the Operating Framework & functional competency management requirements; and have appropriate personal objectives recorded in the QinetiQ performance management system

Essential experience of the Associate Project Manager:

• Experience supporting projects
• Strong communication skills Able to liaise with various levels of stakeholders
• Strong organisational skills

Desirable qualifications for the Associate Project Manager:

• Working towards APM qualification

This role is 37 hours per week and is based out of our Bristol facility on a hybrid working pattern of 3 days per week on average onsite.

The QinetiQ facility in Bristol is part of the companys broader operation focused on defence and technology innovation. The site houses a diverse team of engineers scientists and technical professionals who bring expertise to various projects ensuring high-quality outcomes.
