Due to continued growth we are seeking an experienced Associate Heritage Consultant to join our established Archaeology & Heritage team. Operating across the UK our team supports projects ranging from individual residential developments to large-scale infrastructure and EIA schemes delivering high-quality advice across the planning lifecycle.

With offices across the UK and flexible hybrid working this role offers the opportunity to work on diverse high-profile projects across sectors including the built environment regeneration and renewable energy.

The Role

  • Leading heritage input on projects from feasibility through to planning and delivery

  • Preparing high-quality technical reports (heritage statements impact assessments and EIA chapters)

  • Providing strategic advice to clients architects and internal teams

  • Managing project budgets programmes and client relationships

  • Supporting business development including proposals and networking

  • Mentoring and supporting junior colleagues

About You

We are looking for someone with clear experience delivering UK heritage consultancy projects and a strong understanding of UK planning policy and legislation relating to heritage as well as:

  • Ability to assess heritage significance and impacts of development
  • Experience preparing technical reports and advising stakeholders
  • Project management and commercial awareness
  • Membership of CIfA (Associate or working towards full membership)
  • Relevant degree (or equivalent experience) and full UK driving licence

Desirable:

  • Full MCIfA and/or membership of IHBC
  • Experience in built heritage projects such as listed buildings or conservation planning
