Job Summary
Who We Are Looking ForCrisis24 is a global leader in integrated risk management delivering crisis response security and product risk consulting services to multinational organisations and insurers. The Product Risk Response (PRR) team supports clients before during and after product safety incidents including food contamination events and product are seeking an Associate Consultant (Product Risk Specialist) to join our UK-based PRR team. This junior/mid-level role is suited to a professional with experience in food safety quality or compliance who is ready to take on increased responsibility in live response situations while continuing to develop their consulting and crisis response role supports the delivery of product risk and recall response services. The consultant will actively support live food safety incidents while independently managing assigned response-support and documentation tasks with guidance from senior consultants as management and administrative support are required and the successful applicant must be organised confident and willing to develop new You Will Work OnProduct Risk & Recall ResponseSupport product recall response case activations including contamination events and regulatory-driven recallsAdvice on response activities Support client communications data collection and response tracking during live incidentsLiaise with internal teams and approved third-party providers to support the execution of response actionsParticipate in on-call and after-hours response support as required (rota-based)Case Management & Administrative SupportManage assigned case documentation timelines response logs invoicing and SalesforceWrite case summaries and post-incident documentation Track response actions and deadlines across multiple casesEnsure all documentation complies with PRR standardsConsulting & Technical SupportSupport food safety and product risk consulting engagements including recall preparedness and risk assessmentsConduct regulatory and technical research related to all applicable food safety requirements (e.g. FSA DEFRA EU General Food Law FDA USDA)Assist with the development of client-facing materials templates and response plansApply food safety knowledge to support incident analysis and response decision-makingContinue to build technical expertise through training and supervised client engagementTeam & Operational SupportWork collaboratively with the UK European and global PRR teams to support consistent service deliveryProvide operational and administrative support to senior consultants during high-tempo response situationsContribute to the continuous improvement of response tools templates and internal processesMaintain confidentiality and professionalism when handling sensitive client and incident informationCompetencies:Strong organizational and case management skillsAbility to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced response-driven environmentSound written and verbal communication skillsAttention to detail and accuracy under pressureProfessional judgment and discretionCollaborative mindset with increasing independenceWillingness to participate in on-call and after-hours response workPrepare client-facing documentation and reports for review and approvalCoordinate approved response activities under supervisionNo financial contractual or final decision-making authorityAccountabilityThe Food Safety Consultant reports to the Practice Lead for Product Risk Response. Performance will be measured through the quality and timeliness of case support responsiveness during live incidents adherence to SOPs and continued professional You Will Bring Bachelors degree in Food Science Food Safety Biology Public Health Supply Chain or a similar related field25 years of relevant professional experience in food safety quality compliance or related rolesExposure to food safety incidents recalls audits or regulatory compliance activitiesStrong administrative documentation and coordination experienceProficiency with Microsoft Office and case management toolsPreferredWorking knowledge of food safety regulations (FSA DEFRA EU General Food Law retained EU law FDA USDA)Experience supporting product recalls or incident/crisis responseHACCP Level 3 Food Safety PCQI or equivalent certificationsExperience working with insurers consultants or regulated clientsRemuneration and BenefitsCrisis24 offers a competitive remuneration and benefits package aligned with the UK market with opportunities for progression within the Product Risk Response practice
