Job Summary

What youll do...

  • Reporting to our Restaurant General Manager youll be their trusted second-in-command leading the restaurant floor supporting the day-to-day operation of Seabird and ensuring every service is delivered to the highest standard.
  • Lead from the front during service spending the majority of your time on the floor coaching the team supporting guests and ensuring seamless execution from opening through to close.
  • Take ownership of the restaurant whenever the General Manager is away ensuring the operation continues to perform to the highest operational financial and guest experience standards.
  • Support the Restaurant General Manager in delivering departmental objectives across service people financial performance and operational excellence.
  • Lead inspire and develop the front of house team through regular coaching training and performance conversations creating an engaged accountable and high-performing culture.
  • Drive exceptional guest experiences by being present during service resolving issues proactively building relationships with regular guests and constantly looking for opportunities to elevate the guest journey.
  • Support recruitment onboarding and succession planning helping develop future leaders within the business.
  • Take ownership of labour deployment rota planning productivity and payroll administration ensuring the business is appropriately resourced whilst maintaining labour efficiency.
  • Monitor operational standards compliance and health & safety procedures ensuring policies are consistently followed across every shift.
  • Work collaboratively with the Executive Chef Bars Manager and wider hotel teams to deliver one seamless guest experience across the property.
  • Support stock management ordering reporting and departmental administration while developing a strong commercial understanding of the business.
  • Continuously identify smarter ways of working driving improvements in service efficiency and operational performance without compromising the integrity of the Seabird brand.

Qualifications :

What were looking for...

  • Previous experience as an Assistant General Manager Restaurant Manager or similar management role within a busy premium hospitality environment.
  • A hands-on operator who thrives in the heart of service. Youre happiest on the restaurant floor coaching your team supporting guests and leading by example.
  • Proven experience leading motivating and developing large front of house teams creating a positive culture built around accountability engagement and continuous improvement.
  • Strong operational knowledge with excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities whilst maintaining exceptional attention to detail.
  • Commercial awareness with a good understanding of labour management payroll productivity and operational performance. Experience with departmental P&L management is advantageous but not essential.
  • A natural coach who enjoys developing people giving regular feedback and helping individuals progress in their careers.
  • Guest obsessed always looking for opportunities to raise standards improve the guest journey and create memorable experiences that keep people coming back.
  • Confident making operational decisions solving problems quickly and remaining calm under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to build strong relationships across departments and influence teams positively.
  • Passionate about hospitality and delivering experiences that reflect the integrity of the Seabird brand.
