Role description:
We have an exciting opportunity foran Assistant Project Managerto join our Water team and provide support with on-going Capital Programmes for a major client in the Water Industry.
You will work in a fast-paced client facing role delivering water infrastructure project working with large multi-disciplinary teams consisting of civil M&E and process engineers. The complex projects vary in nature from new wastewater treatment works to water network schemes.
Part of this role will involve travel 1-2 times per week to our clients office in the Brighton area.
Role accountabilities:
- Support the Project/Service Managers in delivering projects using NEC4/3 ECC and PSC on several schemes within the constraints of an agreed budget programme and quality criteria to achieve successful outcomes.
- Support Project Managers with deliverables.
- Work collaboratively with all stakeholders; clients contractors consultants and 3rd party stakeholders on each project to ensure delivery is on time within budget and to a high quality and in accordance with the NEC contract you will be supporting the administration of.
- Monitor progress of work identify risks in the delivery of priorities to the Project Managers to ensure they can implement timely resolutions of issues to ensure appropriate reallocation of time finance and effort and enhancement of the service.
- Encourage and develop a safety conscious culture within the team to deliver work programmes without risk to the health & safety of the team or any other individual
Qualifications & Experience:
- Use of Microsoft Packages Specifically MS Word Excel PowerPoint Teams and Outlook to a good level and maintaining a high standard of work and presentation with a high level of accuracy.
- Track record within construction project management preferably within the infrastructure sector
- Preferably Experience working in both fast paced multidisciplinary teams and single large projects.
- Project management qualifications (e.g. PMP Prince2) would be preferable.
- Contract Management experience would be preferable.
