Assistant Manager

Whats the opportunity

As Assistant Manager youll play a key role in the day-to-day running of the pub helping to deliver great service develop your team and drive business performance.

• Lead from the front: Motivate and inspire the team to deliver excellent hospitality and create a welcoming atmosphere.

• Help run a busy pub: Support the General Manager with daily operations leading shifts and keeping everything running smoothly.

• Put guests first: Make every visit memorable whether guests are enjoying a family meal catching the match or relaxing in the beer garden.

• Drive results: Help manage sales labour costs stock and profitability making the most of opportunities to grow the business.

• Develop your people: Coach and support team members helping them build confidence and progress in their careers.

• Maintain high standards: Take pride in cleanliness safety compliance and the overall presentation of the pub.

• Build a great team culture: Create a positive environment where people feel supported valued and motivated.

Qualifications :

What were looking for

Ideally youll have previous management or supervisory experience in hospitality such as a pub restaurant or similar environment and be ready to take the next step in your career.

Youll bring:

• A passion for hospitality and delivering outstanding guest experiences.

• Strong leadership and people-management skills.

• A hands-on approach and the confidence to lead by example.

• Good commercial awareness and an understanding of sales costs and profitability.

• Excellent organisation and the ability to make decisions in a fast-paced environment.

• A positive attitude and a genuine desire to develop your team.

Personal Licence

As this role may involve covering the business in the General Managers absence youll need to be eligible to hold a Personal Licence. You dont need to have one when you apply. If youre successful Greene King will support you through the process of obtaining your licence.
