Assistant Manager

Whats the opportunity

As Assistant Manager youll work closely with the General Manager to support the day-to-day running of the business lead the team and ensure every guest receives a warm welcome and outstanding service.

• Support hotel operations: Help oversee the smooth running of our 34-bedroom hotel ensuring guests enjoy a comfortable and memorable stay.

• Lead and inspire the team: Motivate coach and support team members creating a positive environment where everyone can thrive.

• Deliver exceptional customer service: Make every guest feel welcome whether theyre joining us for a meal staying overnight or celebrating a special occasion.

• Keep the business running smoothly: Support with rotas staffing daily operations and maintaining high standards across the pub and hotel.

• Make celebrations special: Help deliver fantastic events and gatherings ensuring every detail contributes to a great guest experience.

• Drive business performance: Support the General Manager with sales stock labour costs and overall profitability.

• Maintain high standards: Take pride in cleanliness safety compliance and the presentation of our pub restaurant and hotel.

Qualifications :

What were looking for

Were ideally looking for someone with previous hospitality management experience particularly within a pub restaurant or hotel environment. Youll be confident managing a team and understand the importance of delivering excellent service across different areas of the business.

Youll bring:

• Strong people-management skills and the ability to lead by example.

• A genuine passion for hospitality and outstanding customer service.

• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.

• Confidence handling guest feedback and resolving issues professionally.

• Good organisation and the ability to manage competing priorities.

• Commercial awareness and an understanding of business performance.

• A hands-on approach positive attitude and willingness to get involved.

 Personal Licence

As this role may involve covering the business in the General Managers absence youll need to be eligible to hold a Personal Licence. You dont need to have one when you apply. If youre successful Greene King will support you through the process of obtaining your licence.
