Its an exciting time to join us as we build on our distinct creative handwriting brand differentiation and expanding both internationally and in the part of our Garment and Product Technology team you will play a key role in delivering high-quality products that uphold our brand standards for fit performance safety consistency and design integrity. Working collaboratively across Buying Design Marketing Retail Wholesale and Quality Control you will help ensure products are delivered successfully in line with the critical path while supporting sales and profitability targets. Youll also make effective use of key business systems including PLM (Product Lifecycle Management) for technical packs Intertek for fabric and garment testing and Pyramid for analysing product returns note this is a full-time permanent role which is primarily based in one of our head office locations (Falmouth) with occasional remote help us by:Assisting the Technical team to develop products from Design through sample development to production ex factory and in-house QC checks to ensure agreed timelines are achieved and maximum stock is and preparing samples for fitting as instructed by the Technical team (Prototype Salesman Pre-production and Gold Seal samples).Managing all samples that arrive into the department updating PLM (Product Lifecycle Management) where required ensuring rotation tagging and archiving of and booking fit sessions and fit models ensuring all samples and information are prepared for to lead fit sessions with Design and Buying to perfect fit on own categories with support when suppliers receive all necessary and updated specs documents and instructions at key stages and maintaining regular supplier communication through email and video calls to ensure efficient coordination and the Technical team by reviewing approving and communicating comments on test reports to suppliers escalating failures to the senior team and building understanding of testing approvals and issue reviewing care label requirements and contributing to the care label team/external care label provider database whilst supporting the review of product returns and sharing findings with senior technologists to resolve quality or fit aware of AQL (Acceptable Quality Limit) failures ensuring the Quality Assurance and Control team has all relevant information regarding commercial approvals or standards for 100% inspections and supporting any issues raised during AQL checks with the Senior Technologist including the delivery of any 100% skills youll be sharing with the team:Some experience of garment knowledge of fitting to read and follow garment specifications for sample measurement and to identify common faults and of AQL (Acceptable Quality Limit) procedures and best understanding of fabric of Microsoft Excel Outlook Word and interpersonal and communication organisation and time management attention to to work well as a adaptable and self-motivated able to work well under we hope youll love working with us:The success of Seasalt is down to the skill and hard work of our team.
