Temporary Assistant Accountant
Location: York
Job Type: Full Time Ongoing Temporary
Pay Rate: 15.00 per hour
Are you an experienced Assistant Accountant looking for your next opportunity
Were recruiting for an ongoing temporary Assistant Accountant to join a busy finance team based in York. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is confident working in a fast-paced environment and can hit the ground running.
The Role
As Assistant Accountant youll support the finance function with a range of duties including:
- Assisting with the preparation of monthly management accounts
- Posting journals accruals and prepayments
- Completing balance sheet and bank reconciliations
- Supporting month-end processes
- Maintaining the purchase and sales ledger
- Processing invoices and payments
- Using Xero to maintain accurate financial records
- Providing general support to the wider finance team
About You
- Previous experience in an Assistant Accountant or similar finance role
- Experience using Xero is essential
- AAT qualified or studying towards AAT is desirable
- Strong Excel skills and excellent attention to detail
- Able to work independently and manage a varied workload
- Available to start immediately or at short notice
