Asset Management – Alternatives Private Execution and Closing Associate London

The Asset Management Alternatives Private Execution and Closing (AM Alts E&C) team is seeking an Associate to help support the various business lines within Alternative Asset Management.

This is an exceptionally diverse role that entails collaboration with global Deal teams Strategists Controllers Legal Technologists Risk Credit Tax Compliance & cross Operational groups to facilitate a business that is multi-asset dynamic and bespoke. The Execution and Closing team provides trade processing support across a number of asset classes including Public & Private Securities Loans and bespoke structures for issuers which span industry sectors.

The successful individual will be expected to work in a team of Execution and Closing professionals and exhibit the following skills: proven leadership and organisational skills commercial thinking strong attention to detail creativity whilst ensuring the highest level of risk management.

For every trade agreed every new product launched or market entered every transaction completed it is Operations that develops the processes and controls that makes business flow.

Asset Management Alternatives Execution & Closing team members are operational subject matter experts who play a critical role in supporting bespoke and varied transactions. Primary responsibilities in this highly varied and dynamic role include partnering with the business to book and close transactions supporting new business activity including the launch of new fund entities monitoring associated operational controls and helping the team drive infrastructure enhancement initiatives.

Role Responsibilities

• Leverage your skills to support and manage the team responsible for the booking closing & settlement of time-sensitive complex transactions

• Manage operational risk across the functions supported by the team

• Leverage your skills to propose operational solutions

• Interact with senior stakeholders and drive priorities

• Gain an in depth & comprehensive understanding of a wide range of products & bespoke transactions

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE WERE LOOKING FOR:

Basic Qualifications

• Able to work well in a team environment - across teams and regions

• Strong organisational and people management skills

• Candidate must be comfortable working in a high pressure environment

• Confident in their verbal and written communication especially with senior audience

• Strong problem solving and presentation skills

• High attention to detail

• Innate curiosity and drive

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior knowledge of Loans Equities Bonds and Derivatives preferred
