This is an exciting opportunity to join Marshall in a role that plays a key part in supporting our AMS Operations team and the wider business.

Youll provide essential operational and enabling support across a range of activities helping to ensure our teams can operate effectively and efficiently. Working collaboratively across the business youll have the opportunity to make a real impact by identifying opportunities for improvement and helping to turn them into meaningful results.

A key part of the role will be to actively support promote and contribute to a culture of continuous improvement helping Marshall achieve sustainable gains in efficiency and performance.

Accountability:

  • Accountable for providing support to enable the assembly of small and large complex sub-assemblies.

Responsibilities:

  • Support the stores and production engineering teams in managing tooling calibration and critical asset reporting to ensure compliance with regulatory and quality systems

  • Management and maintenance of Health and Safety procedures and Safe Systems of Work including (but not limited to) 8D Root Cause Analysis COSHH Risk Assessments confined space permits and safety monitoring

  • Enablement of the assembly team through ensuring availability of lineside consumables

  • Positive input into Continuous Improvement activities

  • Supporting general administration (e.g. supporting documentation for production/assembly activities)

Tasks:

  • Support calibration including sending and receiving tooling updating and managing calibration specifications checking certification and labelling

  • Support management of tooling usage and calibration failure reports to ensure tooling gets quarantined or scrapped as appropriate

  • Complete Health and Safety Risk Assessments Safe Systems of Work and COSHH Assessments

  • Manage production support software applications e.g. traka

  • Manage consumables and tool ordering

  • Administrative support

Capability:

Behavioural Competencies:

  • High energy able to manage and balance conflicting priorities and demands

  • Good interpersonal and communication skills

  • Takes responsibility for own actions

  • Confident with the ability to speak to all levels of management and staff

Technical Competencies:

  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft (i.e. Word Excel)

  • Ability to learn software applications (i.e. IFS Windchill Q-Pulse etc.)

  • The ability to accurately follow detailed work instructions and specifications

  • Able to assess data and develop compliance documents e.g. risk assessments

Education:

  • Skills necessary to support clear and concise verbal and written communication

  • GCSE grade C or above in Mathematics and English or an equivalent qualification desirable

Experience:

  • Previous experience in an assembly environment where quality and schedule compliance were key

  • Preferably worked within an organisation that practiced continuous improvement
