Art Technician

A new opportunity has arisen for a flexible and resourceful Art Technician to join our team at Pyrland School playing a crucial role in supporting the wider Art department with preparation and assistance with art-related materials as well as facility maintenance.

Job overview

Youll be responsible for the preparation of a range of materials and apparatus for the Art curriculum within teaching rooms for academic staff and students. As well as this youll take pride in ensuring Art facilities are maintained to a high standard conforming to Health and Safety standards whilst also assisting in auditing the use of facilities and equipment and maintaining the equipment stores.

Job requirements

• Minimum of NVQ Level 2 or equivalent in a relevant Art specialism
• GCSE English and Maths at C grade or above
• Excellent organisational skills with the ability to effectively monitor usage and standards of equipment and facilities
• Knowledge of relevant school policies and codes of safe practice within the classroom
