Job Summary

A progressive high-achieving secondary school in Manchester is looking to appoint a passionate and committed Teacher of Art for a permanent position starting in September. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a supportive Creative Arts department and teach Art and Design across Key Stages 3 and 4 in a school that values visual expression high standards and strong relationships with students. The successful candidate will deliver engaging and practical lessons that help students build confidence fine art techniques contextual understanding portfolio development and an appreciation of diverse art movements and media. The Role:
  • Teaching Art and Design across KS3 and KS4

  • Planning and delivering engaging practical and theoretical lessons in line with the UK curriculum

  • Supporting students of all abilities to achieve strong creative and academic outcomes

  • Contributing to end-of-year exhibitions community art projects and extra-curricular activities

  • Working closely with colleagues within the Creative Arts faculty

Requirements:

Applicants must have:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)

  • A degree in Fine Art Art and Design or a highly related subject

  • Experience teaching Art in a UK secondary school setting up to GCSE level

  • Strong classroom management and studio safety skills

  • The legal right to work in the UK

Salary:

M1 UPS3 (Main / Upper Pay Scale)
