Art Teacher Role in Sheffield

A welcoming Faith Secondary School in Sheffield is seeking a creative and enthusiastic Art Teacher to join its supportive Art Department. The successful candidate will inspire students through engaging practical lessons while developing their artistic technical and critical-thinking skills. Recent Sheffield Art vacancies have focused on delivering Art across KS3 and KS4 with opportunities suitable for experienced teachers and ECTs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan and deliver engaging Art lessons across KS3-KS5

  • Develop students creative and practical skills

  • Teach a range of media techniques and artistic styles

  • Prepare students for GCSE and A-Level where required

  • Assess progress and provide constructive feedback

  • Maintain strong classroom and behaviour standards

  • Contribute to exhibitions enrichment and departmental activities

Candidate Requirements
  • QTS or equivalent teaching qualification

  • Strong Art and Design subject knowledge

  • Experience teaching Art at secondary level

  • Excellent classroom management skills

  • Creative and engaging teaching approach

  • Strong communication and organisational skills

  • Commitment to safeguarding and student wellbeing
