This full-time permanent position involves delivering engaging Art & Design lessons across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 with opportunities to teach A-Level Art or Photography depending on specialist expertise.
The role is well-suited to both Early Career Teachers (ECTs) and experienced practitioners looking for a supportive environment to share their passion for visual arts. You will join a collaborative team with well-resourced studio spaces dedicated technician support and a active tradition of displaying student artwork throughout the school.
Key Responsibilities & Requirements
Teaching: Deliver inspiring practical and theoretical Art lessons across KS3KS4 (and KS5 where applicable) covering fine art drawing painting ceramics and digital media.
Student Progress: Guide pupils through GCSE portfolio work and timed practical assessments fostering individual creative expression and technique.
Exhibitions & Enrichment: Help organize annual student art exhibitions lead co-curricular art clubs and facilitate visits to local galleries and cultural venues across Sheffield.
Qualifications: Relevant degree in Fine Art Visual Arts Design or a related discipline alongside QTS or PGCE.
Skills: Strong personal artistic repertoire excellent studio management and the ability to inspire creative confidence across all pupil abilities.
