The Opportunity

Amentum is the Design and Engineering partner for Sellafield under the PPP (Programme and Project Partners). This is a 20-year arrangement to deliver 7bn of major projects. We are looking to recruit high value expertise from across regulated and comparable sectors to work in a collaborative environment. PPP is delivering major projects site wide improvements and provision of supporting services.

The Role

Being part of the PPP Team offers a unique opportunity to cultivate change and creativity in engineering safety and delivery solutions in one of the most complex industrial sites in the UK if not the world. We now have an exciting opportunity for a Architectural Technologist to join the team in Birchwood Warrington.

As a Architectural Technologist your responsibilities could include:

  • Delivery of architectural design assessment studies and technical documentation through all RIBA stages.

  • Co-ordination of the Architectural team in producing CAD drawings and 3D models.

  • Managing issues specific to the nuclear industry including radiological zoning operationalconsiderations maintenance constraints and unplanned recovery.

  • Providing a co-ordination role between Site and the Design Office

  • Checking/ Verification of Technical Deliverables (RIBA Stages noted)

  • Preparing plans sections & details for statutory approvals

  • Preparation of hazardous area/ classified zones/ people & material flow drawings/ diagrams

  • Authoring technical specifications schedules data sheets reports & method statements

As a Architectural Technologist you will already have:

  • Experience of sustainable design solutions

  • Familiarity with Navisworks Revit Sketch-up or similar CAE tools.

  • Masters Degree in Architecture MArch or DipArch (RIBA Pt 2) or Chartered architectural technologist
