Application Specialist

• Review inquiriesfromclientsand develop process solutions tailored to the application.

• Work with the Sales team to provide budgetary proposals for clients through the completion of internal design tools templatesand costing forms.

• Budget proposals include cost of labour materials purchased items as well as a rough timeline and technical presentation for customer review.

• Prepare cell layout drawingscycle time charts and other process documentsas required for proposals.

• Participate in customer RFQ review meetings either on-site at the customer or in-house.

• Support new business and product development through additional activities such as project managementsupport site reviews/assessments data collection and analysis.

• Documenting development processes procedures and application version histories.

• Liaise betweenthe other departmentsfor technical assistance in developing concepts and processes andaidin estimating labor and material costs to meet customer requirements.

• Expectation of travel up to 30% of time could be anticipated however may be exceeded in exceptional circumstances to meet project needs.

• Support other departmentsduring andafter kickoff of projects.

Requirements:

• Mechanical/Electrical Engineering or Mechatronicsdegree

• 3 years of experience in an automation engineering environment

• Experience with AutoCAD and Solid Works

• Proficient with MS Office

• Strong technical presentation skills

• Ability to adapt to a dynamic environment

• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills

• Ability to motivate teams to produce quality proposals within tight timeframes with changing priorities
