About the Role
We are looking for an Animal Nursing Assistant to join our team at Minster Vets and York Emergency Vets.
This is a 40-hour per week position working shifts within the hospital. You will work alongside both the day and night teams at our busy first-opinion hospital based in the lovely city of York.
Key Responsibilities
- Infection control
- Manual handling and restraint of animals
- Cleaning kennels
- Feeding and exercising animals
- Cleaning and sterilising surgical equipment
- Reception duties
- Admitting and discharging patients
- Assisting RVNs and Veterinary Surgeons with preparing fluid therapy
- Assisting in theatre
- Some dispensary work
- Travelling between branches
- Laundry duties

Working Pattern
- Shifts range from 7:30am - 12:00am
- Weekend work required
- Bank holiday work required

- Full driving licence essential
