Unit Role

HQ Defence Medical Command (DMedC) provides the strategic medical leadership for the DMedC and supports Director General DMedCas the Functional Lead and Owner for Healthcare and Medical Operational Capability.

Position Role

DMedC lead for the development and delivery of a Scalable Reception. Arrangements for MOD Patients (RAMP).

Responsibilities

  1. Represent HQ DMedC for Scalable RAMP within National Defence Planning.
  2. Develop Scalable RAMP as a directed Defence task.
  3. Manage governance arrangements for Scalable RAMP through Programme GRIFFIN to support the delivery of the NATO Medical Action.
  4. Coordinate engagement between stakeholders within Defence and externally (NATO Partner Nations DHSC NHS(E) EPRR Devolved Administrations Voluntary Sector etc) to develop a viable Scalable RAMP capability.
  5. Develop & test a Scalable RAMP Joint Planning Directive for endorsement by MOD (DG DMS) and DHSC (Dir EP & HPD).
  6. Coordinate the operational planning to deliver a Scalable RAMP capability
  7. Engage with Voluntary Aid Societies to increase capacity for Scalable RAMP at large scale.
  8. Be prepared to coordinate validation of the Scalable RAMP capability through UK NATO & MMCC-E exercises (Ex CASUALTY MOVE).
