Rate: 24.0032.00 per hour
Working Hours: Full-time / Part-time

We are currently seeking an experienced and dedicated Adult Acute Speech and Language Therapist to join a busy acute service in Basingstoke. This locum opportunity is suited to a Band 6 or Band 7 therapist with experience managing adult acute caseloads and providing specialist dysphagia assessment and intervention.

In this role you will work within a multidisciplinary team supporting adults with communication and swallowing difficulties arising from a range of acute medical conditions. You will play a vital role in delivering high-quality patient-centred care within a fast-paced hospital environment.

In this role you will:
Assess diagnose and manage adults presenting with speech language communication and swallowing difficulties within an acute setting.
Provide specialist dysphagia assessment and management in line with professional and clinical guidelines.
Develop and implement evidence-based treatment plans tailored to individual patient needs.
Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to support effective patient care and discharge planning.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date clinical documentation and reports.
Provide education and support to patients families carers and healthcare professionals.

To be considered for this role you must have:
A recognised degree in Speech and Language Therapy (or equivalent).
HCPC registration and membership with the Royal College of Speech and Language Therapists (RCSLT).
Previous experience working within an adult acute setting.
Proven experience in dysphagia management which is essential for this role.
Excellent communication and organisational skills.
The ability to work independently and effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
