Job Summary

Watford Hertfordshire ASAP Start Full-Time & Permanent MondayFriday 8:30am4:30pm Hybrid Working

An established education setting in Watford is looking for an organised and personable Admissions Officer to join its team on a permanent basis.

Youll be involved throughout the admissions journey from the first enquiry through to enrolment working closely with families school staff and other professionals. Theres a good mix of independent work and contact with people with hybrid working available once established in the role.

What youll be doing
  • Manage enquiries and applications from prospective families.

  • Keep admissions records and databases accurate and up to date.

  • Coordinate assessments visits meetings and admissions events.

  • Communicate regularly with parents and carers.

  • Liaise with schools Local Authorities and other external contacts.

  • Prepare admissions paperwork and correspondence.

  • Monitor deadlines and make sure applications progress smoothly.

  • Produce reports and provide general support to the wider admissions team.

What were looking for

Previous admissions or education administration experience would be ideal although strong candidates from a customer-focused administrative background will also be considered.

Youll need to be organised confident communicating with families and comfortable managing several things at once. Good IT skills particularly with Microsoft Office Excel and databases are important.

Experience with a school MIS or CRM system would be a bonus.
