A well-established education organisation in Manchester is looking for an experienced Admissions Officer to join its team on a permanent basis.

This is a good opportunity for someone who enjoys working with people but also likes the detail and organisation that comes with admissions. Youll be supporting applicants from their initial enquiry through to enrolment while working closely with colleagues across the organisation.

Current Manchester education-sector roles show full-time positions around 37.5 hours per week while current admissions vacancies in the wider education sector advertise salaries around the high 20ks to low 30ks.

What youll be responsible for
  • Handling admissions enquiries and applications.

  • Checking application information and supporting documentation.

  • Keeping applicant records accurate and up to date.

  • Communicating with applicants throughout the process.

  • Coordinating interviews visits and admissions activities.

  • Responding to queries by phone and email.

  • Monitoring deadlines and ensuring applications progress on time.

  • Producing reports and updating internal systems.

  • Working with colleagues to improve the admissions process.

About You

Youll ideally have previous admissions education administration or customer-facing administrative experience.

Attention to detail is important as youll be working with a high volume of information and deadlines. Youll also need to be comfortable speaking with applicants explaining processes clearly and knowing when an issue needs to be escalated.

Strong Microsoft Office and database skills are essential.
