Wayman Education is working with an Independent Secondary School in Guildford to recruit an experienced and organised Admissions Officer. The school is looking for someone who can manage the admissions process efficiently while providing a professional and welcoming service to prospective families.

The successful candidate will work closely with senior leaders administrative staff and parents to coordinate enquiries applications assessments and admissions documentation. The Role

The Admissions Officer will take responsibility for supporting the schools admissions process from initial enquiry through to pupil entry.

The role will involve responding to enquiries from prospective parents providing information about the school and maintaining accurate admissions records. The successful candidate will coordinate applications arrange visits and meetings organise assessments and ensure relevant documentation is received and processed correctly.

The Admissions Officer will maintain the schools admissions database monitor application progress and communicate key deadlines to families. They will also liaise with teaching staff and senior leaders regarding assessments interviews and admission decisions.

The role will require regular communication with parents and guardians ensuring enquiries are handled promptly and professionally. The successful candidate will also assist with open days school tours and other admissions events when required.

Confidentiality will be essential particularly when dealing with pupil and family information. The Admissions Officer will be expected to follow school policies and maintain accurate records throughout the admissions process.

Requirements

The ideal candidate will have previous experience in admissions administration customer service or a similar role. Strong organisational skills and excellent written and verbal communication are essential.

The successful candidate should be confident dealing with parents and external stakeholders and comfortable managing several applications and deadlines simultaneously. Good IT skills and experience using databases or management information systems would be advantageous.
