Rochdale Boroughwide Housing is looking for anAdministrator to join our Responsive Repairs team.
This is a pivotal role providing comprehensive administrative support across our Repairs and Maintenance Service. Working closely with internal teams contractors and customers youll help ensure repairs services are delivered efficiently and effectively contributing to excellent customer outcomes.
This is primarily an office-based role. During your training period you will be required to work in the office full-time. Following training there may be opportunities for some flexibility dependent on service requirements.
This is a part-time role working between 18 and 21.75 hours per week potentially 3 x 6 hour days or 3 x 7.25 hour days. The hours and days of work will be discussed with the successful candidate. The hourly rate is 14.82.
What youll be doing as our Responsive Repairs Administrator
In this varied and rewarding role youll provide vital administrative support across a range of responsive repairs activities including:
- Managing repairs-related enquiries received via email telephone and customer systems
- Scheduling and coordinating appointments for engineers and contractors
- Logging and processing repairs information defects and service records
- Raising checking and processing purchase orders invoices and payments
- Maintaining accurate records across multiple systems and databases
- Processing payroll submissions and related administrative tasks
- Responding to customer enquiries and escalating issues where appropriate
- Programming and managing access fobs for customers staff and partner agencies
- Supporting repairs empty homes disrepair and other maintenance-related teams as required
- Scanning filing and maintaining service documentation and records
- Working collaboratively with colleagues and external partners to deliver an efficient customer-focused service
What are we looking for from our Responsive Repairs Administrator
- Previous administration experience within a busy office environment
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise competing demands
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Good Microsoft Office skills particularly Word Excel and Outlook
- Confidence using databases and multiple IT systems
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- The ability to build positive working relationships with customers colleagues and contractors
- A proactive and flexible approach to work
- An understanding of customer service excellence and a commitment to delivering high-quality outcomes
- Awareness of confidentiality and data protection requirements
- GCSE Maths and English (or equivalent experience). A Level 2 NVQ in Business Administration would be advantageous
