Administrative Officer
Salary: 24546.32 per annum pro rata
Location: Edinburgh
Contract/Hours: Permanent / Part Time 21 hours per week - usually across three 7hour days with flexibility to negotiate.

Closing date for applications is midnight of Thursday 15th October and interviews are provisionally scheduled for w/c 19th October

A bit about the role

As an Administrative Officer youll be a valued member of our Edinburgh Employability Team based within Castlebrae Business Centre. Your work will ensure the Employability Team receives highquality reliable support.

This is a varied and purposeful role where youll provide a wide range of administrative support across departments building strong working relationships with colleagues and external partner agencies.

Your responsibilities will also include collating and updating records on a monthly or quarterly basis maintaining office supplies and services raising purchase orders and following financial processes for invoice payments.

About the Service

Our Employability Service supports young people aged 1624 who are facing a range of barriers to accessing education training or employment. We provide a youthcentred supportive environment where young people can build confidence develop practical skills and move towards positive sustainable destinations.

Youll be the first point of contact for internal and external visitors helping everyone feel supported and ensuring they have a positive experience.   • Bring a calm professional and intuitive approach to your work handling tasks with sensitivity and confidence.
  • Communicate clearly and warmly always aiming to deliver an excellent standard of customer service.
  • Work efficiently and stay organised meeting deadlines in a fastpaced environment.
  • Show enthusiasm for learning new processes and share good practice with others.

Lets talk about you

  • Business Administration S/NVQ is welcome but not essential relevant experience is equally valued.
  • Highly organised with strong attention to detail and the ability to work to tight deadlines.
  • Confident in taking responsibility for your own tasks and leading on specific pieces of work when required.
  • Skilled in using IT systems including SharePoint Excel PowerPoint Outlook and bespoke databases.
  • Experience providing administrative support to senior managers often managing competing priorities.
  • Fully committed to achieving the best outcomes for children and young people.
  • Able to handle confidential and sensitive information with professionalism and discretion.
