Canada Life one of Canadas leading life insurance and financial services companies is seekingActuarial Students with strong achievements in their academic studies and professional actuarial exams.

This program is aimed at applicants currently enrolled in a post-secondary program who will be returning to school after their work term. This is a student position that is 4 months in duration and will begin on Jan 4 2027.

This is a hybrid role located at our London head office - the successful applicant will be required to work in person in London 3 days per week.

As an Actuarial Student you are a key member of a highly respected professional actuarial team and will have an opportunity to work in one of the following possible areas:

• Pricing & Product Development
• Valuation
• Enterprise Risk Management
• Reinsurance
• Marketing
• Risk Research
• Corporate Actuarial
• Internal Audit

Qualifications:

• Working towards a University degree preferably with a major in Actuarial Science Mathematics Finance or Statistics. This post is for students returning to school after their work term.
• Strong achievements in academic studies. Please include a copy of your most-recent transcript with your application.
• Demonstrated commitment to the actuarial field through successful completion of professional actuarial exams an actuarial education or similar.
• Innovative problem-solver.
• Excellent communication interpersonal and leadership skills.
• Well organized delivering accurate work with an attention to detail in a timely manner.
• Team player who is also comfortable working independently.
• Excel Word VBA MS Access and Moodys AXIS experience is an asset.
• Knowledge or interest in market risk investments and life insurance/reinsurance

The base salary for this position is between $49020 - $88750 annually. This represents base salary only and does not represent other variable compensation components of our total compensation ( i.e. annual bonus commission etc). If you are selected to move forward in our recruitment process your recruiter will be able to discuss additional details of our total rewards program with you.

For our student opportunities the base salary will be dependent on the number of work terms you have completed along with other factors depending on your program.
