Job Title: Activity Co-ordinator Extra Care Housing

Location: Piggs Corner Grays

Salary: 27435 - 29715 per annum pro rata to hours worked as part time

Grade: B

Hours: 20 hours per week

We are currently looking for an Activity Coordinator to join the team at Extra Care post holder will work as part of the Extra Care team alongside another Activity Coordinator providing engaging and person-centred support to service users.

The role is responsible for supporting and assisting service users with all aspects of their social and recreational needs including undertaking some moving and handling duties where required. The post holder will promote social interaction stimulation independence and motivation through the planning and delivery of meaningful activities and opportunities.

The successful candidate will build positive and professional relationships with service users colleagues families and external partners to ensure that Caring for Thurrocks core values are consistently upheld and reflected in daily practice which include individuality independence choice dignity respect rights confidentiality and fulfilment which guarantees residents receives a high standard quality service.

The post holder will need to be kind compassionate caring flexible and committed and able to work with all service users and staff.

The post holder will need to have completed or be committed to work towards completion of the Care Certificate within 12 months of start date.
