Active Travel Project Manager

We are working closely alongside a Local Authority in Somersetto assist with the appointment of anActive Travel Project Manager on a 30-month contract highly likely to be extended at clients discretion. Please apply with your CV for immediate consideration.

Rate of Pay: 18.82 - 25.79 per hour

Hours Per Week: 22

Summary:

The Active Travel Project Manager is responsible for managing the development and delivery of active travel and transport infrastructure projects overseeing schemes from initial planning through to construction while coordinating stakeholders managing budgets ensuring compliance and supporting the successful delivery of the Councils 9 million Active Travel Programme.

Responsibilities:

• Manage Active Travel and transport infrastructure projects from inception through to construction.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary teams consultants contractors and stakeholders.
• Develop project plans governance arrangements budgets and delivery programmes.
• Commission technical work such as highway design surveys traffic modelling planning and legal advice.
• Lead stakeholder consultation and public engagement activities.

Essentials:

• Experience managing transport infrastructure or capital projects from planning through to delivery.
• Strong project management stakeholder engagement and coordination skills.
• Experience managing project budgets programmes risks and governance.
• Knowledge of procurement planning approvals and project delivery processes.
• Ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams and external stakeholders.
• Strong communication organisational and problem-solving skills.
