Acounting Associate

Are you an organized and detail-oriented accounting professional looking for an opportunity with a well-established company We are seeking an Accounting Associate on behalf of our client in the Truro area.

Thispermanent full-time role is well suited to someone who takes pride in maintaining accurate financial records enjoys a collaborative work environment and is looking to contribute to the day-to-day financial operations of a growing business.

Key Responsibilities for the Job:

• Review verify code and process vendor invoices accurately and efficiently
• Manage the full accounts payable cycle ensuring invoices are processed and payments are made on time
• Respond to vendor inquiries reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies
• Process and reconcile employee expense reimbursements
• Monitor accounts payable obligations and support cash flow planning
• Assist with the monthly accounting cycle including journal entries and account reconciliations
• Complete monthly bank reconciliations
• Support month-end and year-end closing activities
• Provide accounts receivable support as needed
• Other related duties and projects as assigned

Experience & Attributes for Success:

• Post-secondary education in Accounting Finance or a related field
• 1 - 3 years of accounts payable or accounting support experience
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel
• Strong communication skills both written and verbal
• Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy coupled with strong analytical and problem solving skills
• The ability to prioritize multiple tasks and meet deadlines
• Positive team-focused attitude with a professional and genuine approach
