Job Summary
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a strong practice background looking for a varied role across accounts and tax with regular client contact and the opportunity to build on their existing experience.
As an Accounts & Tax Senior youll prepare accounts and tax returns for a range of clients manage your workload and work closely with senior colleagues to deliver an excellent service.
As an Accounts & Tax Senior your responsibilities will include:
- Preparing year end accounts for sole traders partnerships and limited companies.
- Preparing corporation tax computations and returns.
- Preparing personal tax returns and assisting with tax compliance.
- Supporting clients with bookkeeping and VAT requirements where needed.
- Liaising directly with clients to obtain information and answer accounts and tax queries.
- Managing deadlines to ensure work is completed accurately and on time.
- Supporting junior colleagues and discussing technical queries with senior team members.
- Previous experience in an accountancy practice covering accounts preparation and tax.
- A good understanding of year end accounts corporation tax and personal tax compliance.
- Confidence using accountancy software.
- The ability to manage your own workload and meet deadlines.
- Good communication skills and confidence building client relationships.
- Strong attention to detail and a practical approach to resolving queries.
- A friendly collaborative approach to working with colleagues.
This Accounts & Tax Senior role could suit an experienced Senior looking for a fresh opportunity or a strong Semi Senior ready to take on greater responsibility.
- 40000 to 50000 depending on experience.

Required Skills:
Preferably qualified ACA/ACCA or by experience. 5-10 years experience within an accountancy practice experience. Experience preparing accounts and tax returns. Experience of QuickBooks Xero or Sage would be advantageous.
