Job Summary
TPF Recruitment are delighted to be supporting a well-established and forward-thinking firm of Chartered Accountants in Wokingham with their search for an Accounts Semi-Senior or Accounts Senior to join their growing team.
- Preparing statutory accounts for a varied portfolio of clients.
- Producing corporation tax returns VAT returns and where required personal tax returns.
- Assisting clients with bookkeeping and cloud accounting software queries.
- Building strong relationships with clients and becoming a trusted point of contact.
- Identifying opportunities to improve processes and add value to clients businesses.
- Working collaboratively with colleagues to ensure assignments are delivered accurately and within agreed deadlines.
- Supporting and mentoring junior team members where appropriate.
- Keeping technical knowledge up to date through ongoing training and professional development.
The successful candidate will ideally have:
- Current or recent experience working within a UK accountancy practice.
- ACA or ACCA qualification or be actively studying towards either qualification (qualified by experience candidates will also be considered).
- Experience preparing accounts for a range of business entities.
- Good working knowledge of accounting software with cloud accounting experience beneficial.
- Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail.
- A proactive and personable approach with the confidence to build lasting client relationships.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Exposure to payroll or company secretarial work would be advantageous but is not essential.
- Salary of approximately 30000 - 45000 depending on experience and qualification level.
- Study support for ACA or ACCA where applicable.

Required Skills:
For this fantastic opportunity you may be an AAT studying and/or perhaps studying ACCA or looking to build further on your experience following qualifying AAT with a background in accountancy practice with at least 2 - 4 years or more experience within practice preparing accounts tax and other responsibilities for a mixed client base of sole traders partnerships and limited companies. You will be looking for a challenging long term career move at Accounts Semi Senior level within a genuinely growing and expanding firm of chartered accountants offering progression and career development.
