Job Summary

TPF Recruitment the Southeasts leading accountancy practice recruitment agency are recruiting for an Accounts Manager to join a highly reputable and fantastic quality firm of chartered accountants based in Eastleigh Hampshire.

You will be joining a fast growing and successful practice where you will work in a general practice capacity within the accounts team. This position is being recruited as a consequence of growth and presents an excellent opportunity for the right candidate to progress in their career. You will be offered exposure to complex high value work dealing with prestigious national and international clients. You will be given lots of autonomy where you will have direct client contact and the opportunity to oversee a small team too.

A large proportion of the position can be built around the candidates experience/ aspirations but as an example you will be responsible for:

Managing your own small portfolio of clients reporting to the Directors.
Reviewing of accounts for your clients including preparation of accounts consolidations corporation tax returns and personal tax returns.
Managing a team of Assistant Manager Senior and Junior-level accountants being responsible for their growth and development.

Requirements

ACA or ACCA qualified.
Experience working for a firm of Chartered Accountants in a similar role. Candidates currently working at an Assistant Manager level will also be considered.
Be able to competently review complex accounts and accounting work to a high standard ready for final director review.
Comfortable and competent running meetings with clients.
Experience mentoring and reviewing work is a must. You wont need to have hands-on experience managing a team but this experience is desirable.
Strong working knowledge of accounts preparation management accounts tax and VAT.
Previous experience reviewing work prepared by more junior members of staff.

Benefits

50000 - 55000 dependent on experience and qualification status.
Hybrid working available (3 days in the office 2 from home).

Required Skills:

For this fantastic opportunity you may be an AAT studying and/or perhaps studying ACCA or looking to build further on your experience following qualifying AAT with a background in accountancy practice with at least 2 - 4 years or more experience within practice preparing accounts tax and other responsibilities for a mixed client base of sole traders partnerships and limited companies. You will be looking for a challenging long term career move at Accounts Semi Senior level within a genuinely growing and expanding firm of chartered accountants offering progression and career development.
