The Opportunity
In this key fee-earning role you will take lead responsibility for conducting on-site and remote audit fieldwork while managing company accounts preparation and tax compliance for a diverse client base. Working alongside experienced Directors you will gain hands-on involvement in planning budgeting and delivering high-quality client work across commercial sectors healthcare and non-profit entities. As the practice continues to grow this role offers a structured pathway to step up into an Assistant Manager or Manager position.
Key Responsibilities & Requirements
Qualifications & Experience: ACA or ACCA qualified (or Qualified by Experience - QBE) with 3 years UK accountancy practice experience including leading statutory audits.
Audit Leadership: Hands-on experience leading client audits from planning through to fieldwork execution and completion ensuring compliance with UK GAAP and ISAs. (Experience with care home or specialist audits is advantageous but not essential.)
Accounts & Tax Compliance: Strong technical ability in preparing complex company statutory financial statements corporate tax computations and management accounts.
Team Mentoring: Experience delegating tasks reviewing junior staff members work and providing coaching on fieldwork assignments to promote team development.
Commercial & Technical Skills: High attention to detail strong budget and time management skills and proficiency with practice accounting and audit software.
