Accounting Operations Manager

Salary: 50000 - 60000 depending on experience plus the opportunity to participate in a discretionary annual bonus scheme.
Location: Belfast Northern Ireland
Hybrid Working: Flexible hybrid model typically 2 to 3 days per week in our Belfast office. More office time may be expected during onboarding to support training team integration and knowledge transfer
Hours: 37.5 hours per week Monday to Friday
Holiday : 23 days annual leave (excluding bank holidays) increasing by one day per each year of service (up to a maximum of 5 days)

What Youll Be Doing

Managing mentoring and developing an international accounting team
Leading workflow planning capacity management and service delivery
Driving continuous improvement through technology automation and AI-enabled workflows
Overseeing quality and technical standards across year-end accounts corporation tax bookkeeping management accounts and related compliance services
Identifying opportunities to improve quality efficiency and client outcomes
Developing team capability through coaching training and knowledge sharing
Supporting the adoption of Microsoft Copilot AI agents and other emerging technologies
Collaborating with colleagues across the UK and internationally
Supporting the continued growth and development of the Professional Services division

What Were Looking For

Were looking for an experienced accountant whos ready to take the next step in their career and contribute to a growing technology-enabled business.

Youll ideally have:

ACA or ACCA qualification
Extensive experience reviewing statutory accounts and compliance work to a high technical standard
Previous experience managing mentoring or developing team members
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
A proactive solutions-focused mindset with a passion for continuous improvement
Strong systems and technology skills
Experience using accounting software such as CCH IRIS Xero Sage or QuickBooks
A genuine interest in technology AI and automation
Practical experience using Microsoft Copilot and other AI tools
Familiarity with AI agents workflow automation and emerging technologies
