Job Summary

To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth were looking to add an Accountant located in WarringtonUK.

Reporting to the Finance Manager the Accountant will play a key role in financial reporting month-end activities business partnering compliance and internal controls. The role is responsible for managing the monthly P&L for a key customer delivering accurate financial analysis and reporting supporting audits and ensuring compliance with corporate accounting policies and regulatory requirements.

What a typical day looks like:

• Manage monthly P&L reporting and financial activities for a key customer.
• Prepare accurate and timely financial reports and management information.
• Perform balance sheet reconciliations and maintain financial controls.
• Conduct variance analysis and review actual results against forecasts.
• Support month-end close processes and present financial results during business reviews.
• Prepare VAT reports and support tax-related reporting activities.
• Coordinate internal and external audit activities.
• Analyze freight costs accruals and other financial performance indicators.
• Ensure SOX compliance and adherence to internal control requirements.
• Collaborate with finance and non-finance stakeholders while supporting cross-functional team activities

The experience were looking to add to our team:

• At least 5 years of strong experience in accounting finance and general ledger management.
• AAT qualification equivalent experience or a strong accounting background.
• Finance or Business degree and/or CIMA/ACCA qualification preferred.
• Experience with month-end close financial reporting and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Knowledge of SOX requirements and internal control environments.
• Experience preparing VAT or other tax-related reports is an advantage.
• Advanced Excel skills and strong IT literacy.
• Strong analytical problem-solving and reporting capabilities.
• Excellent communication presentation and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience with SAP BAAN or other ERP systems would be beneficial.
• Eligible to work in UK
