Health and social care procurement is undergoing rapid digital transformationdriven by NHS efficiency targets integrated care reforms and growing pressure on adult social care budgetsand as an Account Manager you will lead this change for clinical and care customers with our innovative Amazon Business solution. Your primary responsibilities will be to establish and develop relationships with strategic health and care organisationsfrom acute NHS Trusts and community providers to residential and domiciliary care groupsfocusing on their specific requirements to drive their procurement strategy and helping them unlock spend on Amazon. This will include identifying new opportunities for growth driving long-term initiatives and building partnerships up to Board Director of Procurement and Chief Procurement Officer level. You will receive hands-on training and mentorship that will enable you to grow learn and be successful.

A successful Account Manager should be eager to learn and develop themselves and be a self-starter with strong analytical and problem-solving skills. The candidate should be prepared to perform against goals and consistently meet targets with a focus on delivering results for customers through solutions aligned to their care delivery objectives and operational outcomes. As a part of Amazon Business the account manager will have the opportunity to work on building digital procurement processes and enabling cost and time efficiencies in procurement for health and care organisations helping them redirect savings toward frontline patient and resident care.

Key job responsibilities
Understand and identify key health and social care trendssuch as NHS Long Term Plan priorities CQC regulatory changes workforce pressures and category-specific shifts in clinical and non-clinical suppliesand translate these into actionable insight for your customers.
Analyse and define health and care customer procurement needsincluding clinical consumables facilities management and non-clinical suppliesto design how Amazon Business can solve their operational and strategic challenges.
Advise customers on setting up a comprehensive procurement solution using Amazon Business to accelerate NHS and care sector digital transformation supporting compliance with procurement regulations and value-for-money requirements.
Develop a deep understanding of the UK health and social care landscape including NHS structures (ICSs Trusts primary care) CQC-regulated adult social care providers and relevant policy and funding dynamics to identify emerging opportunities for Amazon Business.
Identify new product development opportunities. Collect and relay customer needs to internal Amazon teams including Product Tech Category management and others to continuously innovate on behalf of health and care customers.

- Bachelors degree or equivalent
- Experience in sales or marketing work (like e-commerce retail technology SaaS) or equivalent

- Knowledge of procurement and source to pay methods at small and medium businesses
- Experience influencing at all levels within an organization particularly at the executive level
- Experience exceeding sales targets using a consultative solutions-focused approach or equivalent
