Accommodation Co-Ordinator

About the role

Marsh House provides 22 units of supported accommodation staffed 24 hours for homeless people aged over 18. The purpose of this service is to support service users to develop independent living skills in the management of a household their own finances and working towards establishing themselves in community services whilst being supported with staff on site. This will be seen as a step-up approach to more independent living in their own accommodation limiting the need for further support and preventing any escalation of needs.

You will play a key part in providing a warm friendly and welcoming front of house service to all service users and visitors whilst assisting the manager with the day to day running of the service.

Day to Day Duties:

As an Accommodation Co-Ordinator you will assist the manager in the day to day running of the service and engaging with the service users visitors outside organisation and the team. You will be working in an inclusive and dynamic environment where are service users are the heart of everything we do.

Your day will consist of:

• Being the first point of contact for our clients and visitors being based in the reception area of the scheme
• Using our system Dynamix to oversee rents and Housing Benefit and service charge
• Managing the maintenance of the scheme
• Coordinating and managing the diary of the Handy Man
• Using Proactis to ordering and invoicing
• Maintaining and managing the health & safety folder

Skills and experience needed

• Relevant experience in an office environment
• Good organisational and planning skills
• Ability to communicate effectively at all levels written and verbally.
• Computer literacy specific in house systems as well as Microsoft Office
• Relevant experience of working with vulnerable clients
