Position: Community Living Worker

Location: Stayte House South Surrey

Hours of Work: This is a Casual position. The applicant must be available to work a variety of shifts to include mornings afternoons evenings overnights weekdays weekends and Statuary Holidays.

Salary: The current wage starts from$25.95 per hour. Funding for wage increases retroactive toApril 2026 will adjust thestartingwage to$27.53 per hour once implemented.

Start Date: As soon as possible

We are looking for a Community Living Worker to join our Sources Community Living Services team! This individual must be Passionate about working with people Engaging and Empathic.

Description of Position:

Sources Community Living provides all-encompassing care for individuals who have been referred to us by Community Living British Columbia. We are currently recruiting Residential Care Workers to support individuals with autism and/or intellectual disabilities with dual diagnoses in a group home environment. Our mission is to enable the pursuit of the best quality of life possible for our clients. We do this by fostering independence well-being and social participation.

Reporting to: Stayte House Program Manager

General Responsibilities:

• build relationships
• aid and support
• work as a collaborative team
• coach and guide

Program Specific Responsibilities:

• Maintain a safe work environment for both staff and service users alike including following and monitoring all positive behavior support strategies as they apply to clients in service. This includes being confident and familiar with Non-Violent Crisis Intervention material.
• Keep notes and review progress.

Physical Demands of Job: *may vary based on client needs

• Lifting/Pulling/Pushing - 50% Walking/Moving Around - 75% Sitting - 25% Time spent outside - 50% Bending/Crouching - 25%

Cognitive Demands of Job:

Qualifications:

• you have empathy and are self aware
• take initiative and work with integrity
• you have the physical ability to engage in a variety of home and community-based activities
• you are knowledgeable or have experience in areas of mental health and intellectual disabilities
• you have a valid drivers license
