Our ICT team uniquely combines deep insurance consulting expertise with innovative technology. We work across all major actuarial pillars within Property and Casualty (P&C) - reserving capital and pricing - as well as broader areas such as data science process transformation risk and regulatory climate exposure management underwriting and claims analytics involving both client projects and research and product development.

On our eight-week internship youll do more than experience our projects youll help us deliver them.

Responsibilities:

Joining our P&C Insurance team for eight weeks youll build invaluable real-world experience at the heart of our ICT business. Youll work with and learn from our industry-leading experts while:

  • Contributing to a variety of client research and development projects
  • Using actuarial and statistical modelling techniques to analyse data and produce insightful results for clients
  • Presenting your analysis to your colleagues
  • Collaborating with colleagues in the UK and globally to tackle real-world actuarial problems
  • Building your core technical and consulting skills through hands-on experience and team support
  • Learning and applying open-source tools and technology alongside WTWs own proprietary insurance technology solutions which are used widely by the insurance market
  • Growing through structured early-career training and ongoing learning from subject matter experts in the team

This is the perfect opportunity to understand what you could expect if you joined our graduate programme the following year. We have many examples of our interns returning as permanent team members after graduation.



Qualifications

Requirements:

To transform your tomorrow with a WTW internship youll need to be:

  • Highly numerate and analytical with the ability to solve complex and challenging commercial problems using innovative and proportionate approaches
  • A clear and confident communicator who can make complicated ideas understandable and engaging for a range of audiences
  • Personable approachable and motivated to work as part of a supportive team
  • Comfortable using AI tools to support work with an understanding of their strengths and limitations
  • Someone with an interest in AI data science and emerging technologies and an aptitude for exploring and applying new approaches to solve problems
  • In your penultimate year at university
  • On course to achieve a 2:1 degree as well as A-level Mathematics at grade A or above and at least 136 UCAS points across three A levels or equivalent qualifications. For example AAB or A*AC would meet the overall points requirement.

Workstyles:

We believe in the value of in-person learning so youll be expected to attend the office five days per week. Youll be based in either our London or Reigate office. Your office location will be agreed with you during the onboarding process. Regardless of your allocated office you may be expected to travel to other WTW offices for team or client meetings.
