Lead end-to-end recruitment for all roles across production sales field operations and administration.
Develop and maintain a pre-qualified talent pipeline to support fast-growing staffing needs especially during peak production periods.
Partner with department heads to forecast hiring needs and ensure timely deployment of talent.
Build relationships with recruitment partners universities and industry networks to source quality candidates.
2. Performance Management
Design and implement a robust performance appraisal system aligned to Nutrinovas KPIs.
Coach line managers on conducting objective performance reviews and managing under-performance constructively.
Develop performance improvement plans (PIPs) and track employee development milestones.
3. Employee Relations & Culture
Serve as the first point of contact for all employee grievances disciplinary matters and conflict resolution.
Foster a positive productive and inclusive workplace culture consistent with Nutrinovas values.
Conduct regular staff engagement surveys and implement action plans based on findings.
Champion employee wellbeing--programs and recognition initiatives.
4. HR Compliance & Policy
Ensure full compliance with Ugandas Employment Act labor regulations and statutory requirements (NSSF PAYE Workers Compensation).
Develop review and enforce HR policies procedures and the employee handbook.
Manage staff contracts renewals terminations and separation processes in line with legal frameworks.
5. Training & Development
Conduct training needs assessments (TNAs) across all departments and develop annual L&D plans.
Coordinate both internal and external training programs including technical soft skills and leadership development.
Track training ROI and report on learning outcomes to management.
6. HR Administration & Payroll Oversight
Maintain accurate and up-to-date HR records contracts and personnel files.
Oversee monthly payroll processing in coordination with the Finance team ensuring accuracy and statutory compliance.
Produce monthly and quarterly HR reports on headcount attrition recruitment status and training.
Requirements
Bachelors degree in Human Resource Management Business Administration Social Sciences or a related field.
A postgraduate qualification or professional certification (CHRP IHRM or equivalent) is an added advantage.
Minimum 46 years of progressive HR experience with at least 2 years in a managerial or supervisory role.
Prior experience in a manufacturing FMCG agribusiness or food production environment is highly desirable.
Demonstrated experience managing HR for a workforce of 50 employees including field and production staff.
Strong working knowledge of Ugandas Employment Act and labor regulations.
