Position: TUIEP SHE Lead

Level: Section Manager

Work location: Samut Sakhon

Responsibility:

  • Support the Plant Manager in designing and driving execution of the Plant SHE improvement roadmap.
  • Track plant performance against critical SHE KPIs generate key insights into persistent gaps and collaborate with relevant plant teams to identify and implement mitigating actions for continuous improvements.
  • Collaborate with Regional SHE Compliance Lead to define and develop the Plant SHE strategy roadmap and related policies/ standards/protocols in line with Group SHE guidance; cascade relevant standards across relevant plant teams and monitor progress.
  • Manage monitor and enhance Occupation Safety Health & Environmental impact reduction programs / initiatives at the plant level ensuring alignment with Group SHE programs to maintain consistency in implementation.
  • Design and execute site-specific SHE initiatives aligned with the Plant SHE improvement roadmap
  • Identify required certifications / licenses (e.g. ISO) for the respective Plant and consult with Regional SHE Compliance Lead as required
  • Coordinate efforts across plant teams to prepare for certification assessments as required
  • Monitor change in SHE-related regulation and industry practices within the region / country and consult with Regional SHECompliance and SHE Technical Leads to determine appropriate actions and responses
  • Implement Plant SHE policies and ensure on-time and on-target delivery of initiatives according to Group SHE roadmap
  • Ensure operations control and compliance with legislation customer requirements insurance certified bodies corp. SHE audit and SHE data audit (third party)
  • Collaborate with plant teams to ensure timely and adequate risk assessments and risk control across all plant operations
  • Ensure comprehensive monitoring of key SHE metrics across all areas while collecting and monitoring SHE-related data and collaborating with plant teams to address identified gaps
  • Manage Plant SHE documents control to ensure traceability and recency; submit SHE documents and reports on behalf of the plant as required by regulations
  • Prepare plant teams for both external (e.g. ISO) and internal audits (e.g. Group / Regional SHE audits); coordinate responses to audit findings
  • Design and lead plant SHE internal audits and inspections
  • Enforce the reporting of incidents / emergencies through Group SHE digital systems and tools
  • Follow on serious incidents in the plant and ensure appropriate investigation communication and corrective action to prevent reoccurrence (e.g. injury illness chemical spills)
  • Manage incident recovery including driving root cause identification working with plant teams to implement appropriate resolution and escalate incidents for regional / Group support as required
  • Activate SHE emergency management protocols in the event of emergencies (e.g. fire wastewater leakage etc.) and work with plant teams to execute procedures
  • Conduct workplace ergonomics assessments and collaborate with relevant plant teams to resolve / prevent workplace injuries (e.g. Repetitive strain injury)
  • Implement actionable measures in collaboration with plant teams to prevent and reduce adverse impacts from poor industrial hygiene / workplace safety standards / environment controls
  • Lead critical SHE inspections flag corrective actions required and ensure timely implementation (e.g. emergency response readiness inspection air emission sampling)
  • Lead the plants response to community complaints (e.g. noise odour chemical spill over-limit pollution); guide respective SHE Area Coordinators to work with plant teams to deliver appropriate resolution and coordinate overall communications with the community
  • Conduct SHE is training sessions for all necessary personnel at the plant including new employees and contractors leveraging materials from Group SHE
  • Coordinate assessment of SHE knowledge/ skills competencies across plant teams and work with plant management to drive closure of SHE knowledge / competency gaps as required
  • Drive proactive communication of SHE best practices / protocols at the plant to encourage contribution to SHE performance improvement
  • Validate projects / any operational changes at the plant which involve critical SHE elements such as safety system upgrades environmental impact reduction efforts and health improvement programs

Qualification:

  • Bachelors degree in safety Occupational Health
  • 5 years experience in Safety Health and Environmental management
  • Strong proficiency in SHE standards to ensure employees safety reduce environmental impact ensure compliance across the plant
  • Attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills to conduct root cause analysis and manage SHE issues
  • Ability to lead and motivate teams build a diverse and trust-based team and develop local talent
  • Demonstrate ability to make hard decisions making the right trade-offs
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for promoting safety and health initiatives and ensuring cross-functional alignment
