Position: Procurement & Inventory Assistant

Position Summary

The Procurement & Inventory Assistant is responsible for supporting procurement activities and inventory management to ensure the timely availability of materials equipment and services required for business operations. The role involves supplier coordination purchasing inventory control logistics support and maintaining accurate inventory records while ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities

Procurement

  • Source evaluate and select suppliers based on pricing quality service reliability and delivery performance.
  • Prepare issue and process purchase orders in accordance with company procurement policies and procedures.
  • Negotiate pricing commercial terms contracts and delivery schedules with suppliers.
  • Monitor supplier performance and resolve issues related to delivery quality pricing or service.
  • Coordinate with internal departments to ensure procurement activities meet operational requirements.
  • Maintain accurate procurement records and documentation.

Inventory Management

  • Monitor inventory levels and identify optimal stock levels to support operational requirements.
  • Forecast future inventory requirements and coordinate replenishment activities.
  • Ensure inventory transactions are accurately recorded in both physical and financial systems.
  • Coordinate inventory counting equipment and material tracking and inventory audit activities.
  • Monitor the movement of equipment and materials between warehouses and field locations.
  • Ensure used inventory and returned materials are properly managed and accounted for.

Logistics & Operational Support

  • Arrange transportation and logistics for equipment and materials to support field operations.
  • Coordinate with vendors logistics providers and internal stakeholders to ensure timely delivery.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance procurement and inventory efficiency.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies safety standards and applicable regulations.

Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in Engineering Science Supply Chain Management Business Administration Logistics or a related field.
  • 23 years of experience in procurement purchasing buyer inventory control or supply chain management.
  • Experience in the Oil & Gas industry is an advantage.
  • Good understanding of procurement processes inventory management and supply chain operations.
  • Strong negotiation communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Good analytical and problem-solving abilities with attention to detail.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications; experience with ERP or inventory management systems is an advantage.
  • Able to work independently manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Willingness to travel to support operational and field activities when required.
